News from The Garden

What a wonderful sight to see today!

This paddy field adjacent to The Gardens has been on our hearts for over 12 months. Supporter fundraising has meant that Hope Gardens now has this fantastic sustainable asset.

Hope Gardens’ very own paddy field

It has had its first harvest just before Christmas (what a great gift!) and now is ready to be planted again.

The fruits of the labour – the first harvest.

  1. Praise God for the successful rice harvest. Can you give more information on what that rice pile represents in days of provision? Will is be sustainable for Hope Gardens to manage from planting to harvest?
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.
Please give our greetings and love to Hope Gardens.

    1. Hi Tom, Vasthi has let us know that the paddy that was sent to the mill as a result of this harvest will yield enough rice for 4 to 5 months, isn’t this great! It truly is a blessing having this sustainable source adjacent to the Rhema Gardens. I am glad you are enjoying all the updates from the team. As you can see from subsequent posts the nursery field has already been planted up and when the young plants are ready they will be planted up in the main paddyfield ready for the cycle to start again – exciting times!
